The day I shoot Ale was so freezing our noses were super red and I was so worried to ask her to take off the jacket and just stand there wearing a light chiffon dress. But she was great and the pics look lovely (my dog Maya is doing a cameo, thanks Maya!). I could keep shooting people wearing hats forever, hope it’s just a mad hatter phase…

Thank you Tamu and thank you my beautiful yellow MiuMiu dress. I have to remember to shut my mouth once in a while, at least when someone is taking a picture of me!

Caterina Ravaglia is a young promising Italian model (Elite Models). Italians are like this, we get excited very easily by seeing our countrymen and women being successful and becoming famous, so when I saw Caterina for the first time in Lazzari’s 2009-2010 lookbook I was struck by her weird beauty, and later I was superhappy to discover she was Italian, from Ravenna and starting to really rock the fashion world. Faces like hers are much more interesting and charming than perfect “little French nose” ones (and I say it not only because I’m part of the club!)

In London during last Fashion Week I saw her a lot on the catwalks and I think designers will love her more and more.
Wish her all the luck in the world!

A promise is a promise.
You know you can fall in love deeply with things, well I fall in love with shoes, Fendi bags, wool coats, but mostly I fall in love with images, and I totally fell in love with these pics. They’re so natural and not retouched at all and you can spot the exact moment in which I accidentally exposed the film to light (duh duh duh).

Before Christmas I had the chance to shoot some of the latest Lazzari‘s pieces and my friend Francesca was so kind to model for me. I love each one of these items (I bought the animalier hat before New Zealand, the dress with the skaters and the orange one) and now you can find them all already on sale on the store online.

Tomorrow I’ll be posting some of the pics I took with my analogic Minolta the same day, just a few came out in the right way (not so easy to work without autofocus duh) but I love them so much I need to publish them somewhere!

Blackhair’s illustrations for Grazia.it

A couple of days ago I made some illustrations using Licia Florio‘s new ss2012 lookbook pictures. Painting on the black and white pics with the gouache K. gave me for Christmas was extremely fun (great idea by Grazia.it producer Annina Piana) and I think the result looked really good.

I love Licia’s clothes, so feminine yet so simple and cool at the same time, I can easily see myself wearing the whole collection and a lot of pieces are already in my Spring wishlist, so it was even easier to draw for her.
