Urbino and me by Kekkoz
Tomorrow my friends and I are taking a little journey to my hometown, the lovely Urbino.
I love Urbino in so many ways, the history, the hills, my house, my parents, my friends who are still there, my memories, everything is special there. Oh and I forgot one of the most important things: FOOD. Well, tomorrow we’re going to attend Frequenze Disturbate, which was one of the greatest music festival in Italy, at least for the music I like. The first editions were free and mostly Italian singers were the protagonists.

But quickly it became bigger and we had names like Beck, Yo La Tengo, Black Heart Procession, Blonde Redhead, Dinosaur Jr, Sons and Daughters, Okkervil River, Cat Power, Arab Strap, not joking, A LOT of cool guys came around my hometown, and the funny thing is that nobody there was realizing what the hell was going on. The peaceful native inhabitants were messed up by this wave of weirdos which they never heard about. Ahah for me it was hylarious: “Who? Who’s coming? Be’, Bech, Bekk???”

Eventually everything ended, no money and so on, but this year they’re trying again and even if there are just a couple of names (Kings of Convenience the biggest one), well, we’re happy the same. Yes, because it’s the atmosphere that counts, and the people you’re with, and I’m sure we’ll have a great time, also because we’ll be eating this all the time. See ya!
